Glass decoration
In production ‘dariano’ uses sandblasting of the glass, glass engraving technique, fusing, glass lamination, stained-glass windows. During the production of stained-glass windows we are using English techniques ‘RegaLead’ and ‘Decra Led’

Production of stained-glass windows.

Creating film-covered stained-glass windows, we are putting specials films on the glass, and they create effect of colored glass. Joints between the films are covered from both sides with decorative bonding strip of different color and width. As the base for stained-glass window used simple (transparent) glass, tinted or chemically frosted (so-called “milk glass”). The films can be transparent, semi-transparent or matte. Films for stained-glass windows are presented in wide range of colors, therefore with their help it possible to create any patterns, embody fantasies. For some stained-glass models we additionally apply beveled glass elements of different forms. In order to decorate glass inserts we also use bevels. Bevels are edged bits of glass of different size, which can have regular geometrical or arbitrary shape, can be colored or transparent. Traditionally bevels are used as the element of ornament, stained-glass window, mosaics. Beauty of this material reveals, when light refracts in the glass edges, sparkle and creates beautiful color shading-off. Bevels are glued on the glass with extra strong transparent glue.

Glass sandblasting. Frosted and textured glass.

In production we use glass sandblasting technology, because it allows transforming simple transparent glass into frosted one, patterning of glasses and mirrors. We have wide capabilities for decoration and can perform all kinds of tasks. ‘dariano’ uses different methods of frosting, allowing to give particular depth and expressiveness to the patterns. Also we use deep sandblasting that allows to create engraving effect, give glass some depth and volume.

After sandblasting, our specialists cover the surface with varnish, which reduces surface roughness, protects the glass from accumulation of dirt and guarantees that the glass will not have residual microscopic glass bits, which usually occur during the sandblasting. Advantage of the sandblasted pattern is that it is long-lasting, resistant to all external effects, you will not wash it off and will not scratch it.

Glass engraving

Engraving is technology of patterning the glass with diamond tool. Engraving became a modern element of design; it favorably highlights the lines and texture.

One of the glass decoration techniques applied by us is fusing, method of colored glass baking at high temperature in the oven. In case of usage of this method, future pattern is assembling at the separate sheet from the pieces of glass and glass bits, then the sheet is placed into oven and glass is baking, transforming into solid plate. Adjusting temperature mode, it is possible to either mix the layers, lay one color on another, or to keep sharp contour, and also, if you want, it is possible to give camber to the pattern. Fusing is “frozen motion”, embodied in spatter glass, stylish design solution. At the same time, usage of the fusing increases the product cost, because the materials are expensive and the process is complex and requires painstaking work.

Triplex is a laminated glass, which consists of several separate glasses, joined with special film. Valuable advantage of the triplex: if the glass breaks, its shards will not fly apart, but will remain on the film. Triplex is chosen not only for its safety, but also for its increased noise insulation properties. Our lamination technology allows combining triplex practicability with different decorative and natural materials, cloth.

Glass sheet “UNONA”

One of our offers - glass sheet “Yunona” with increased safety: if the glass suddenly breaks, the shards will not fly apart. The 8mm thick sheet is made of glass, triplexed with transparent film. Offered glass sheet can be both durable and truly beautiful - due to the two-sided sandblasting. This technology allows frosting the pattern at one side of the glass, and the background at the other, making the glass nontransparent, and, at the same time, modern and beautiful. Any pattern can be put on the glass using method of 3D engraving. Sandblasting of the surface requires owner’s special attention to the glass sheet care: it is recommended to use gentle cleansing agents on soap or ammonium basis, avoiding strong solvents (acetone, benzene, etc.). After wiping the glass, cleaning agent residues should be washed off with fresh water, and the glass should be wiped with soft napless towel.
